Abstract

In this article I will argue in favor of the use of inclusive language from a phenomenological perspective to conclude that the use of it can turn out to be transformative both in the personal identity sphere, as well as in collective thought and history, influenced by sociocultural, institutional and political processes that do not stop stressing and restricting the development of new subjectivities. For this, I will begin by highlighting the phenomenological analyzes about the way we live language and how it can influence and even enhance oppressions in the order of gender. Later, I will examine the Report of the Royal Spanish Academy on Inclusive Language and related issues to problematize the arguments that are presented against the use of inclusive language and thus, finally, show the positive effects of its use.
